About

Genealogy is a hobby that I picked up in 1999. I found it interesting and liked to read about the family history. In 2001, I decided to combine another hobby of mine, website development and genealogy, together. I found a few websites that could do this but for a monthly fee. After some research, I found Tribalpages.com where our family tree is currently being hosted.

My uncle David, the original creator of the family tree in 1980, used to bring a large printout to family reunions each year. He encouraged everyone to update it with new births, marriages, and other events. When I transitioned our family tree online, David provided me with a copy of his database, which contained just over 2,000 names at the time.

Since then, our family tree has expanded significantly, with more names added each year. David still provides occasional updates, and our online family tree now boasts over 4,100 individuals.
